Ingredients
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup sour cream
1 large egg
2 tbsp melted butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
pinch of salt
pinch of nutmeg
1/4 cup rainbow jimmies (optional)
Vanilla Glaze:
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1-2 tbsp milk to adjust consistency
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
squeeze of lemon juice
pinch of salt
food coloring (optional)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease 2 donut pans (I use the Wilton 6 count).
In a medium mixing bowl, melt butter, then whisk in the rest of the wet ingredients.
Add the dry ingredients and use a rubber spatula to mix until just combined.
Scoop the batter into a piping bag or a plastic zip top bag and cut the tip.
Carefully squeeze the batter into the donut pans. It makes 9.
Bake for 9-10 minutes. Let it cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Cool completely before glazing and adding sprinkles.
